The Hubcaps are based out of St. George, Utah, and have been entertaining for weddings, dances, parties, and other events since 2001. Their repertoire ranges from the Beatles to the Eagles, Ella Fitzgerald to Michael Buble, Elvis to Billy Joel, Glenn Miller to Jo Stafford, and the Beach Boys to John Mayer. The band consists of Gary Ford, Kent Sevy, Sean Sevy, Devon Archer, and Brant Jones.
Gary (vocals and guitar) organizes the set lists with a great handle on the top classic songs of the last 70 years. Through high school and college he played with the Wingnuts in Utah Valley (1988-1994). His knowledge and love of groups from the 40s to the 00s is evident in the vast song list (over 400 songs and adding).
Kent has played since he was 14 in rock groups and was recently nominated to the Las Vegas Rock Hall of Fame. Kent has played keyboard over the years, opening for major acts in Las Vegas and St. George. He plays all genres and is also a vocalist for the group. Kent’s family was voted “Musicians of the Year” by St. George Magazine.
Sean Sevy, a classically trained violinist, does not let that interfere with his hard-driving bass. Sean has played fretless and upright bass in Dixie College Jazz Band. He‘s been entertaining audiences in his family band since he was six years old. He is now a violin, fiddle, and bass instructor.
Devon Archer is a self-taught guitarist that ranks with the top players in the western U.S. He is at ease from Hendrix to Stevie Raye Vaughan to John Mayer. His stellar vocal abilities are demonstrated equally, singing Bono of U2 to Michael Buble. You can find his album, “Burning Nights”, on itunes.
Brant Jones, whose trademark is his bright orange DB set, has also opened up for major groups and is the backbone of the Hubcaps. He comes from a musical family and has performed extensively.
